In Arctic Tern International School, a day is set aside and tagged ” cultural day” on the school academic calendar.
The main objective is to make children remember their roots and also to imbibe their culture which is fast eroding in our society. Activities are lined up on that day to showcase different aspects of the rich African culture, food, music, dressing, etc. Children are dressed up by their parents in their various cultural attires.
The school cultural troupes entertain their peers, parents, invited guests and teachers. Drama and beauty pageants are also conducted. On that day, only African delicacies are served to the pupils and others to remind them of their roots.
